Houston engineering firm names vice president overseeing Carolinas

LJA Engineering, a multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm, has named Ricky Waters as vice president.

In his new role, Waters will be based in LJA's Charleston office and will lead the firm’s operations in the Carolinas, according to a news release.

Waters brings over 15 years of experience in the civil engineering industry. His expertise and leadership will be crucial in leading and growing LJA’s South Carolina office, with a specific focus on land development-related projects, the release stated.

Prior to joining LJA, Waters, a U.S. Naval Academy Graduate who served in the US Marine Corps, most recently served as a business unit manager at a large publicly traded multi-disciplinary engineering firm, where he led the firm’s North and South Carolina operations and delivered client-focused civil engineering solutions to developers and local municipalities throughout the Country, the release stated.
