Sportsman’s Warehouse purchases North Charleston Field & Stream store

Sportsman’s Warehouse Holdings Inc. has purchased the Field & Stream in North Charleston, as well as an Erie, Pa., store, from Dick’s Sporting Goods for $4.5 million.

The deal is expected to close sometime in October. The North Charleston location is at 4956 Centre Pointe Drive.

In an effort to expand its footprint and geographical reach, Sportsman’s Warehouse has purchased 10 Field & Stream stores from Dick’s since late 2019 in similar transactions.

“The first and second rounds of Field & Stream transactions proved to be exceptional investments for our company,” Sportsman’s Warehouse CEO Jon Barker said. “The passionate and knowledgeable Field & Stream associates who joined Sportsman’s Warehouse were a critical component of the prior deals’ success. Therefore, we are very excited from both a human resources and financial perspective to add the two additional Field & Stream stores to our portfolio.”

Sportsman’s Warehouse is an outdoor specialty retailer with 107 stores in 27 states. Nine more operations are expected to open this year, including the Lowcountry transaction. The chain currently has two stores in South Carolina, one in Anderson and one in Columbia.
