Civil, structural and aviation engineering and landscape architecture firm ADC Engineering Inc. is acquiring Irmo-based RB Todd Engineering Consultants.

ADC Engineering is based in Hanahan and has offices in Irmo and Greenville. The company provides design solutions to companies in aviation, education, health care and hospitality.

RB Todd, which opened in 2005, has provided civil engineering services to educational, recreational, municipal and state clients, specializing in site design, roadways and highways, stormwater management and utilities.

Bruce Todd, president of RB Todd, will become a principal at ADC and lead civil engineering operations in the Midlands.

“Merging with another firm that that shares ADC’s values and philosophies is very exciting,” said ADC Vice President Chris Cook. “We have admired Bruce’s reputation and work ethic for years and we look forward to bringing our combined talents to clients and communities in the Columbia area.”
