Get your business cards ready! The largest networking event in Mount Pleasant — driven by Crews Subaru — is set to take place Thursday, September 28, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Omar Shrine Center, in partnership with the Town of Mount Pleasant and for the first time Bank Sponsor, Pinnacle Financial Partners.

“Crews Subaru has partnered with MPCC for this annual Business Expo for the last six years. As a locally owned business, we are happy to support the largest networking event in Mount Pleasant where participants have the chance to meet businesses that make up the community.” Ken French, Marketing Guy, Crews Subaru continues, “Our partnership with the Chamber is foundational and helps Crews Subaru be more than a car dealer.”

The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) Business and Community Expo is designed to be both fun and educational, with interactive exhibitor booths that offer demonstrations, giveaways and food samples. There will be games, prizes, a food truck, free ice cream, and a happy hour from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. As always, admission and parking are FREE.

Kicking off the event will be a local mascot parade led by Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haynie. He recently proclaimed September 17-23, 2023 as Business Appreciation Week. It is a week-long celebration filled with social media campaigns, dynamic events, and networking opportunities, and culminates in the Expo. “The annual Business Expo exhibits the energy and community spirit that makes Mount Pleasant business so vibrant. There’s never a dull moment at the Expo,” exclaimed Mayor Will Haynie.

The following mascots will be participating in the mascot parade as of 9/20/23:
College of Charleston’s Clyde the Cougar
South Carolina Stingrays’ Cool Ray
Tony Pope State Farm’s NeighBear
Charleston County Parks’ Bandit
The Citadel’s Spike
