Firm ranked #1 in 2023 by Engineering News Record Magazine

Tallahassee, Florida – Ajax Building Company was recently ranked #1 by ENR Southeast magazine within the Educational Sector, jumping ahead of their previous 5th ranking. Out of 106 total contractors who participated in ENR Southeast’s Top Contractors Rankings for 2023, Ajax was named first for earning the most revenue from projects within the educational sector.

ENR (Engineering News Record) is an American weekly magazine that provides the latest news on the construction industry worldwide. Regarded as one of industry’s most authoritative and favored publications, ENR bases their rankings on each firm’s annual revenue, measuring the performance between contractors, managers, and designers throughout the multiple regions and sectors of the construction industry.

Ajax’s rise in the educational sector can be attributed to several successful large projects this year, including Florida State University’s new Student Union, University of Florida’s Malachowsky Hall, Albany State University’s Health Science and Nursing Simulation Lab, College of Charleston’s McAlister Hall, and many K-12 projects throughout Florida.

Ajax also moved up the ranks in a number of ENR Southeast’s other categories this year:

Overall Florida: #19 (last year: 31)
