The Charleston Place has confirmed that La Ligne — an upscale women’s clothing store known for its classic dresses and knitwear — will be opening in The Charleston Place this fall.

The store will be in one of the hotel’s King Street retail spaces between Hasell and Market streets, according to a news release. This will be La Ligne’s first retail location in the Southeast. The brand’s other brick-and-mortar locations include: New York, Dallas, Boston, Greenwich, Conn., Palm Beach, Fla. and Larkspur, Calif.

In addition to La Ligne, there will be more upscale retail stores coming to The Charleston Place soon, according to the release.

Launched in 2016, La Ligne was founded on the stripe as a timeless wardrobe staple, according to the release. Designed to bring everyday essentials and statement pieces direct-to-consumer, La Ligne offers high-quality products, service, and design, without the high prices, the release stated.

The brand’s stripe-obsessed co-founders — Meredith Melling, Valerie Macaula, and Molly Howard — have more than 30 years of experience in the fashion business, the release stated.

The collection is sold at their boutiques on Madison Avenue in New York City, at Highland Park Village in Dallas Texas, at The Royal Poinciana in Palm Beach, in Greenwich, Conn., at The Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, Calif. and on Newbury Street in Boston.
