Two restaurants coming to Downtown Nexton development in Summerville

Sharbell Nexton LLC has named new retail tenants for Downtown Nexton, the mixed-use community in Summerville.

A new tenant is coming to the ground-floor retail space in the Lofts Downtown Nexton, according to a news release. Occupying 1,867 square feet, Wakey Bakey Bagel, a bagel shop and retail bakery with coffee and related food products, will join the Lofts’ list of confirmed lessees, including 1933 Wine and Spirits, Tavern 33, The Groomsmith, Palmetto Nails, Revive Health Studio and Rita’s Italian Ice.

The owners of Wakey Bakey Bagel are expanding their presence in Nexton as they also own and operate the nearby donut shop, BKeDSHoP, according to the release.

Additionally, Sharbell Nexton, LLC sold approximately 1.33 acres of Downtown Nexton’s parent tract, known as Parcel 1-C, which will soon be home to a high-end, full-service sushi and Asian restaurant spanning 4,500 square feet, with an additional 1,500 square feet for retail, the release stated. The name of the restaurant was not disclosed.

“Each day brings exciting advancements to Downtown Nexton and we look forward to sharing the community-oriented retail and restaurant offerings with nearby residents,” said Sharbell President Thomas Troy in the release. “This news advances our vision of creating a convenient and walkable destination that thoughtfully connects people and places, fostering a dynamic and engaging environment for all.”

Situated on nearly 100 acres between Sigma Drive and Brighton Park Boulevard, Downtown Nexton will provide retail, dining, hospitality, residential, service, office and commercial options within walking distance of many of Nexton’s neighborhood, the release stated. In addition to the Lofts, other announced plans in Downtown Nexton include The Ames and The Radler multifamily communities, A.C. Hotel by Marriott and Atelier office campus.

Bridge Commercial provides exclusive leasing and sale services at the Lofts Downtown Nexton.
