East West Partners, a Colorado-based real estate developer, has partnered with Home Telecom to provide gigabit internet connectivity to The Gadsden, a residential building expected to open later this year.
Home Telecom, based in Moncks Corner, first offered gigabit internet services in 2013 when it partnered with Nexton in Summerville, according to a news release. The first business to employ Home Telecom’s gigabit internet services on the Charleston peninsula was the Harbor Entrepreneur Center.
“We have accomplished our initial goal to kick off the gigabit conversation and generate excitement around the possibility of faster internet speed on the peninsula,” Home Telecom CEO William Helmly said in the release. “While the project is not moving as quickly as we had hoped, we’re constantly working to provide more access to gigabit speeds on the peninsula.”
The Gadsden consists of one- two- and three-bedroom luxury residences, and owners will have access to a rooftop pool, clubhouse and an outdoor kitchen with a fire pit.
“Joining forces with Home Telecom provides one more great option for them,” said Miller Harper, East West Partners’ partner in charge of South Carolina. “Our building offers limitless access to this great city, and gigabit services offer limitless access to the world.”
