Breeze Airways has revealed its twice weekly nonstops to Los Angeles (LAX) from Charleston (CHS), starting May 6, will double to four times weekly from June 12.
“It is rare in Charleston for an airline to announce an expansion before the start of their service but our friends at Breeze Airways have done just that. This increase in service to Los Angeles is great news for the airport but especially for the Lowcountry and our passengers,” said Elliott Summey, executive director and CEO of Charleston International Airport, in the release.
Summer seasonal service, on Fridays and Mondays, will start May 3, with Breeze adding adding Wednesdays and Saturdays from June 12.

“We’re thrilled to bring back nonstop service between Los Angeles and Charleston this summer,” said Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey. “And the twice-weekly flights have been doing so well that, in June, we’re doubling them to four times weekly.”
“We’ve known for some time that there is considerable demand for travel between our two destinations,” said Helen Hill, CEO of Explore Charleston and Board Chair of the Aviation Authority, in the release. “Expanding this transcontinental service to four times a week increases the convenience and accessibility of travel for both local residents and visitors, and we appreciate Breeze so quickly enhancing its investment in this route.”
