2021 Top achievements:

In 2021, Charleston Promise Neighborhood facilitated a partnership between the Charleston County School District and Fetter Health Care Network to expand its comprehensive family services for children and adults, thus creating family “medical homes” at Mary Ford Early Learning & Family Center and Morningside Middle School. This expansion of CPN’s KidsWell School Based Health Centers provides neighborhood families the benefits of access to Fetter Health Care Network’s well-child checks, Head Start physicals, family health care for parents, guardians and siblings, immunizations, medication delivery, behavioral assessments, OB/GYN services, dental and vision care, and individual and family counseling.

2022 Goals:

CPN will realize its strategic priorities in the Neighborhood through:
Community Engagement Programs — that value resident leadership, rally residents toward action, convene stakeholders for learning and sharing, and promote resident-led initiatives.

Family & Parent Engagement Programs —that bring parents and families together to learn and grow, strengthen the family unit, support scholars’ academic and mental health, and increase parent advocacy.

Health & Wellness Programs — that reduce healthcare access disparities, through School Based Health Centers, telehealth services, mental and behavioral health supports, chronic disease management, and community partnerships that promote increased health literacy and positive health outcomes.
