Carolina Cataract & Laser Center and Eyecare Physicians & Surgeons have merged.

This union brings together two practices under the Carolina Cataract & Laser Center name, according to a news release.

“This merger represents our dedication to providing patients with the highest level of care,” Carolina Cataract & Laser Center’s Dr. David Vroman, managing partner and ophthalmologist, said in the release. “We will be even better equipped to attend to your eye care needs than we were before.”

The practice has locations in Ladson, West Ashley, Mount Pleasant, downtown Charleston, Goose Creek and Walterboro.

“We could not be more excited to offer our patients the best of the best in South Carolina eyecare. This new chapter is a transformational step forward for our practices.” Dr. Alexander Kent, managing partner and ophthalmologist at Eyecare Physicians & Surgeons, said in the release.

The combined practices means patients will have access to a wider range of specialized services, the latest advancements in eye care technology, and an expanded team of ophthalmologists and eye care professionals, the company said.

“Through our partnership with Eyecare Physicians & Surgeons, we’re not merely expanding our footprint; we’re fortifying our commitment to unmatched excellence,” Dr. Millin Budev, managing partner and ophthalmologist, said in the release. “The well-being and satisfaction of our patients serves as the cornerstone guiding each and every decision we undertake.”

The newly merged practices will continue to offer services at their existing locations. Patients can expect a seamless transition, with no interruption to their current appointments or treatment plans, the practice said in the release.

Dr. Joseph M. Lally, managing partner and ophthalmologist said in the release: “Uniting with Carolina Cataract & Laser Center marks an exciting milestone for our practices. Together, we are enhancing our ability to deliver top-tier eye care services while upholding our shared unwavering dedication to patient satisfaction.”

Carolina Cataract & Laser Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, refractive lens exchange, LASIK vision correction, and glaucoma treatments.
