Frontier Airlines will offer nonstop service between Charleston and Denver in spring 2018.
The frequency of flights between the cities is not available yet. Frontier is the seventh airline, and the third low-cost carrier, at Charleston International Airport.
“We think Frontier Airlines is a good fit for Charleston and for our customers,” said Paul Campbell Jr., the Aviation Authority’s executive director and CEO, in a news release. Denver is a great destination, and we look forward to a successful partnership and, hopefully, future expansion of air service in Frontier’s network.”
The new Charleston flights are part of the low-cost carrier’s expansion into 21 new cities.
“These new flights will allow us to serve even more of America and make flying a truly affordable option,” said Barry Biffle, president and CEO for Frontier Airlines.
The Denver-based airline flies to more than 80 destinations in the U.S., Canada, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
