As pieces of the Charleston Tech Center on Morrison Drive continue to come together, work crews recently installed a pingpong table courtesy of BoomTown, a Charleston startup that provides digital tools and solutions for real estate professionals.
The Charleston Digital Corridor, which is moving its HQ to the tech center as the project's anchor tenant, said the outdoor table tennis installation was the first for an office building in the city of Charleston.
Work crews brought in slabs of smooth concrete and installed the table to serve the Charleston Digital Corridor's Flagship with the help of Charleston Tech Center architect Paul Rich. Organizers and developers expect the opening to occur in the early part of 2021. Space is currently being leased at the center.
