TeamLogic IT, a managed IT services franchisor with locations across the United States and Puerto Rico, has opened a location in downtown Charleston.

The new office, at 215 East Bay St., is owned by Denise Kaufman, an entrepreneur living in North Charleston.

“With the city’s recent influx of technology companies and the area’s ever-growing population, we couldn’t think of a better place than Charleston to open this branch of TeamLogic IT,” Kaufman said in a news release. “We’re excited to tap in the region’s highly educated pool of workers while fulfilling a diverse array of area businesses’ IT needs.”

TeamLogic provides support to businesses that do not have an IT department and collaborates with the internal IT departments of companies that need additional support. It offers services such as business data backup; cybersecurity consulting and implementation; email hosting; and disaster recovery and planning, among others.

“The combination of being able to provide world-class IT services because of our nationwide presence, coupled with the benefit of local management teams, has allowed TeamLogic IT to experience significant growth over the past several years,” TeamLogic President Dan Shapero said in the release. “We are delighted Denise has joined our network to service the Charleston area.”

The Charleston office is planning to hire multiple technicians and administrative support staff. Kaufman is currently hiring for a part-time assistant.
