A European-inspired lifestyle brand is expanding its U.S. footprint with a Charleston storefront.

etúHome expects the Lowcountry store to open in November, the company said in a news release. The 2,000-square-foot space on King Street will be in addition to the company’s flagship location in Atlanta, which opened two years ago, and another in Budapest, Hungary.

Husband and wife duo, Joseph and Stacy Borocz, founded the company more than a decade ago. etúHome creates handcrafted and sustainable home products, such as furniture, kitchen tools and accessories.

“As a company, we did extensive research on where to bring etúHome next and decided to stay close to home and expand further within the Southeast,” Stacy Borocz said. “We believe our range of handcrafted products will resonate with the Charleston community and will blend perfectly into the city’s famous architecture and historical European roots.”

Products are rooted in European designs and are created with recycled glass sourced from Europe and salvaged 19th century timber from buildings, primarily in Hungary, that fall into demolition. Ceramics and bakeware are created using white European clay. Each piece is then finished by hand with eco-friendly, plant-based beeswax and mineral oil elements.

Customers of the King Street location can shop from the brand’s core product line of artisan crafted cutting boards, charcuterie boards and farm table planks, as well as etúHome’s signature hand-blown glass vessels and seasonal candles.

The store will also sell European-found kitchen accents and furniture, in addition to dining sets, breakfast nook tables, consoles and chairs. In the future, etúHome hopes to expand offerings with a lighting collection, gourmet European food, market baskets, and third-party appliance and kitchen offerings from Staub, Ballarini, SMEG and more.

An onsite designer will also be on hand to offer computer-aided design to customers looking to incorporate etúHome products into their spaces.
