Carolina One and PunchList form home repair partnership

Real estate brokerage company Carolina One and home repair service provider PunchList have partnered to provide home repairs for clients and agents.

Through the partnership, Carolina One’s clients and agents will receive PunchList repair estimates within 24 hours and get access to licensed contractors and support personnel if they choose to complete the repairs in the estimate.

Carolina One President Michael Scarafile said, “We’re excited to roll out our new partnership with PunchList. They’ve done a great job in pairing technology with quality contractors to transform the home repair experience.”

PunchList founder and CEO Rich Estes said the partnership is a natural extension of his repair company’s ongoing work with Carolina One agents, a news release said.

“With Charleston being our home base, we’ve had the privilege of building relationships with many Carolina One real estate agents over the past few years,” Estes said. “We’re excited to formally extend our offering to all Carolina One agents (and) provide them with enhanced service.”

According to the release, the agreement also provides the brokerage with priority access to PunchList’s Pre-Listing Evaluation and Repair service, which identifies and removes defects that can complicate a home sale before a property is listed.

“It’s not uncommon in our industry for a house to be listed and go under contract, only to have all sides left wondering what the home inspection might reveal,” Scarafile said. “With PunchList’s pre-inspection solution, we all but eliminate the chance of a transaction falling through due to an inspection.”

Scarafile said that improving the experience on the buyer and seller side is the direction the industry is headed and that PunchList is solving the industry’s needs.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and digital marketplace HomeAdvisor launched a similar home improvement resource last year.
