Work has begun on the latest industrial building at Camp Hall in Berkeley County.

South Carolina-based real estate developer Magnus Development Partners has begun work at Vantage Point 2, a 152,880-square-foot industrial spec building at Camp Hall in Ridgeville.

The project is located directly across from Volvo’s North American facility where two new next-generation, all-electric sport utility vehicles will be produced, according to a news release. The automaker, whose cumulative investment in the South Carolina operation totals roughly $1.2 billion, recently announced plans to add a battery assembly facility and additional production space.

The project developed by Magnus Development Partners will be its second spec industrial building within the 6,800-acre campus.

“Magnus looks forward to breaking ground on our second Camp Hall project during Q2 2023,” Magnus partner Bill Owen said in the release. “As we develop this industrial spec building in Berkeley County, we are energized by the enthusiasm of Camp Hall, the expansion of Volvo, and the Redwood Materials plant under construction. We are sure we will locate dynamic tenants who will appreciate not only the new development we will create but the overall atmosphere and image of Camp Hall.”

Magnus Development Partners is a privately held, South Carolina-based real estate developer focused on delivering single-tenant build-to-suits, spec industrial buildings, and corporate advisory services throughout the Southeastern United States.
