Chatham Place Apartments at 5735 Chatham Ave., North Charleston. (Photo/Provided)Marcus & Millichap, a commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, found a buyer for Chatham Place Apartments, a 30-unit apartment community in North Charleston. The property sold for $3.3 million, or $110,000 per unit.

“This was a straightforward closing for a light value-add property with additional storage units,” William Graves, associate in the firm’s Charleston office, said in a news release.

Graves, in addition to Ryan Lipomi and Nate McDaniel, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller. The buyer was secured by Graves and McDaniel.

Constructed in 1975, Chatham Place Apartments is at 5735 Chatham Ave. Its 30 units are comprised of 18 one-bedroom apartments and 12 two-bedroom apartments. The property also features six storage units.


Other commercial transactions include a lease by Trey Lucy and Blair Belk of Belk Lucy. They represented the landlord in the lease of 1,255 square feet of retail space at 3540 Park Avenue Blvd. in Mount Pleasant to Charleston Dance Works.


Hannah Troyer of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the landlord in the lease of 850 square feet of retail space at 220 E. Main St. in Moncks Corner.


Trey Zimmerman of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the tenant in the lease of 1,287 square feet of office space at Suite 203-A at 300 W. Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant.


Trey Zimmerman of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the seller, 3040 Realty LLC, in the sale of 8,000 square feet of office space at 3040 U.S. Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant to Anthony Pope Properties for $2.9 million. Marlena Franklin of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the buyer.


Ben Chase of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the seller in the sale of 1/3 acre of vacant land at 77 Washington St. in Charleston $2,275,000.


Ben Chase of Coldwell Banker Commercial Atlantic represented the buyer in the sale of 32,000 square feet of industrial space at 400 Calhoun St. in Columbia for $250,000.


Bob Caldwell and J.R. Caldwell of Caldwell Commercial Real Estate Services represented the landlord, 4476 Leeds Place West LLC, in the lease of 1,200 square feet of office space at 4476 Leeds Place West, North Charleston to Camp Rise Above Inc.


Bob Caldwell and J.R. Caldwell of Caldwell Commercial Real Estate Services represented the landlord, Charlotte D. Harrell LLC, in the lease of 1,965 square feet of office space at 2000 Sam Rittenberg Blvd., Charleston, to Best Choice Roofing East LLC.


Mark Erickson of Colliers South Carolina represented the buyer, Dr. Jason Solomon, in the sale of 3,500 square feet of office space at 907 N. Main St. in Summerville.


Matt Pickard, Chloe Heiligenstein and Mark Erickson of Colliers South Carolina represented the buyer, InLight Real Estate Partners, in the sale of 22.5 acres of land space at 2635 Clements Ferry in Charleston.


Patrick Nealon of Colliers South Carolina represented the tenant, Scooters Coffee, in the lease of 0.57 acres of retail space at 5641 N. Rhett Ave. in North Charleston.
