Greystar Real Estate Partners LLC has opened its new corporate headquarters in downtown Charleston.

The Greystar Building is a five-story, 82,000-square-foot mixed-use facility in Evening Post Industries’ Courier Square redevelopment at the corner of Columbus and Meeting streets. The exterior was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects; the interior was designed by Gensler and Elizabeth Stuart. LS3P Associates served as master planner and architect of record.

The building includes 70,000 square feet of office and 12,000 square feet of retail space, according to a news release. The office has 289 sit-stand workstations, 130 touchdown seats and 71 conference rooms. Greystar employees also have access to a coffee bar, fitness center, yoga studio and locker room with showers.

Greystar’s headquarters was formerly at 465 Meeting St. in downtown Charleston.

“Greystar is a Charleston-bred company, so we were highly sensitive to the fact that our new headquarters needed to blend seamlessly into its exterior environment while providing the interior scale and infrastructure needed to support our rapidly growing team,” Greystar Chairman and CEO Bob Faith said in the release.

The Greystar Building is the second to open in Courier Square’s first phase of development. The first building was The Guild, an apartment building owned and managed by Greystar, which opened in spring 2018.
