“His proven leadership track record spans every department — from store development, real estate acquisitions, merchandising, strategic planning and running the day-to-day operations as president,” Robert Webster said in a news release. “He was the ideal candidate to take this company to the next level as we continue to grow our products and footprint throughout the Southeast.”

The company transitioned from collegiate merchandise to what it calls “Southern lifestyle brands.” Recently, Palmetto Moon has experienced rapid growth under Holzer’s direction, the company said. Palmetto Moon plans to open its 11th store in October in Wilmington, N.C.

“The primary objective has and will continue to be our relentless focus on our customers’ experiences. ... Our guests are passionate about living in the South, and we are so grateful for their extraordinary loyalty and patronage,” Holzer said.

Robert and Karen Webster plan to remain with the company in an advisory role, the news release said.
