src=In celebration of National Nurses Week (May 6-12), ECPI University will award more than $55,000 in scholarships across its 14 nursing campuses in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas and online.

The contest is open to aspiring nurses, current ECPI nursing students and nurses working in their field and looking to earn an advanced degree. To enter, applicants must answer “How is Nursing a Work of Heart?”, submit a photo to be used for Facebook voting and select which campus and degree program they plan to attend.

Entries will be accepted now through Saturday. Each scholarship is worth $2,000, and each campus will have two scholarship recipients. Winners will be announced May 12 during a special “thank you” event for ECPI nursing students, faculty and graduates.

Parker’s recently donated $4,000 to the Charleston County School District as part of its Fueling the Community program.

Charleston County School District interim superintendent of schools Donald Kennedy accepted the unrestricted donation on behalf of area teachers and students at a check presentation on April 19 at the Memminger School of Global Studies

The Fueling the Community program at Parker’s is a longstanding initiative that donates a portion of every gallon of gas sold on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools. This spring, Parker’s is donating approximately $275,000 to public and private schools in Georgia and South Carolina as part of the program.
