 src=The Charleston Parks Conservancy is celebrating 15 years with Picnic in the Parks: A Birthday Celebration from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., May 1 at the Rose Pavilion in Hampton Park in downtown Charleston. 

Guests can enjoy live music from Green Levels, brunch from Harvest Catering, the Eudora Farms Petting Zoo, spider jump bungee trampolines, crafts, face painting, games, treats and more. All-inclusive tickets are $150 for adults and $50 for kids; ages 2 and younger are free. 


Starling Chevrolet has announced Camp Rise Above as the beneficiary of its annual All Stars initiative. From now until the end of 2022, a portion of each sale and service at Starling will directly support the camp, which provides life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, disabilities and challenges.  

Camp Rise Above hosts several events throughout the year, including summer day camps, family fun days and in-hospital patient activities. Since its inception, Camp Rise Above has served more than 3,000 children.
