src=Tickets are on sale for Florence Crittenton Programs of SC’s 8th Annual Wine Women & Shoes. All proceeds benefit Florence Crittenton Programs, which provides services to pregnant, parenting and at-risk young women and their children.

This year’s event will include wines from across the country, seasonal dishes, designer shopping from local and national boutiques, a fashion show, and live and silent auctions with a chance to win a closet full of designer clothes and accessories.

The event will be held at The Gaillard Center from 6-9:30 p.m. Oct. 28. General admission tickets are $125, and a limited number of VIP tables that seat eight are still available for purchase online.

The Lowcountry Food Bank's Walk to Fight Hunger, presented by Charles River, was held on Sept. 19 at Riverfront Park and raised more than $60,000 for food-insecure families. The hybrid event included in-person and online walks and runs.

Lowcountry Food Bank also hosted a drive-thru food collection at the event, where participants donated more than 850 pounds of nonperishable canned proteins, canned fruits and canned vegetables, and 75 pounds of diapers.
