The Charleston Friends of the Library’s 39th Annual That Big Book Sale raised more than $100,000 for the Charleston County Public Library. Almost 4,000 shoppers attended, and more than 200 volunteers helped out.
The next pop-up sale will be July 9-11, with a member’s event on July 8. It will take place at 68 Calhoun St. at the Main Library in downtown Charleston.
Autobell Car Wash will donate $1 from every sale of its Armor All car wash to the American Red Cross from June 14-27. The goal is to raise $10,000. This fundraiser will take place at all locations in the state.
Through June and July, East Cooper Home Store will donate a portion of proceeds to Lowcountry Orphan Relief. These funds will go toward the organization’s Care Kits, Just in Case Closets, children’s events and other supporting services.
