The Charleston Symphony is partnering with Charleston County Parks to offer a free pass to the Holiday Festival of Lights with a purchase of two full-price tickets to the Holiday Pops concert.

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18 and at noon and 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at the Gaillard Center.

Bank of America has announced Metanoia as a Neighborhood Champion, a recognition that includes $50,000 in grant funding and leadership training. Funding will support Metanoia’s programs within its three core areas of focus: creating a safe and nurturing place for children after school and during the summer; establishing quality, affordable housing; and the economic re-energizing of the Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood.

Trident United Way took part in Giving Tuesday by rallying in front of the Trident United Way Resource Connection Center to encourage donations. The total funds raised surpassed the goal of $10,000. All proceeds will go to Trident United Way’s Resource Connection Centers in Summerville and Moncks Corner.

Fetter Health Care Network has announced its COVID-19 testing clinic schedule for December, along with the addition of rapid testing. Fetter will host multiple testing clinics at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center based on its schedule.

Testing will be available at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, as well as Dec. 17, 22 and 29. It will also be available from 4-8 p.m. Dec. 15.

Individuals are asked to employ social distancing and wear a face covering while waiting for testing.

Charleston Commercial and Annie’s Nannies are teaming up to present Santa on Shem Creek. On Saturday and Sunday, families can visit with Santa at 97 Church St. in Mount Pleasant.

Scheduled appointments for 15 minutes each are available from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $35 per family and includes a professional photo delivered digitally. Walk-in appointments are also available from 1-4:30 p.m. Admission is one unwrapped toy per family to benefit Toys for Tots.

Families will have the option to ask Santa to wear a mask. Children can either sit on a bench with Santa or on a bench placed a few feet in front of Santa. All family members will be required to wear face coverings, though they may be removed briefly for photos. Everyone attending will be required to have their temperature taken.

Non Disclosure Apparel donated 45 bralettes to women undergoing breast cancer treatment at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Non Disclosure Apparel pledged to donate one hot pink bralette to MUSC for every hot pink bralette sold.
