The Gibbes Museum of Art will host Gibbes on the Couch on Thursday. The event supports the museum and its culinary partners who were scheduled to participate in Gibbes on the Street, the museum’s annual fundraiser for its visual arts educational programs.

Participants are asked to make a donation to support the museum’s educational programs. The Gibbes also encourages participants to support the local restaurants involved (.pdf) by ordering takeout for the night.

Barnhart Transportation and ShipSmith have partnered with Richard Rawlings and the Gas Monkey Foundation to deliver Gas Monkey Energy Drink to the Medical University of South Carolina and Roper St. Francis hospitals downtown on Monday.

The drop-off was part of the companies’ donations to COVID-19 first responders and health care workers across the country.

Barnhart Transportation is donating its trucks, fuel and drivers to get the 13 truckloads to the hardest-hit areas of the country.

Obviouslee Marketing’s Fresh Prints Project will provide $8,000 in pro bono design services to one company in need of creative support. The program will accept applications until May 10.

All types of businesses and organizations are encouraged to apply, including for-profits and nonprofits.

To apply, visit the Fresh Prints website and answer questions about your company’s mission, goals and design needs. One company will be announced on May 18. Applicants must be located in the United States.

The Charleston chapter of Les Dames D’Escoffier has launched Vital Hospitality CHS, a fundraising and service program for COVID-19 recovery. Its mission is to feed health care workers and first responders while supporting the local restaurant community.

In two weeks, the organization has provided more than 150 meals by locally owned businesses to personnel at the Medical University of South Carolina, Roper St. Francis Healthcare and Trident Health System.

All donations to Vital Hospitality’s GoFundMe page will go toward meals. On average, it costs $10 for one meal, delivered to the door of a local medical facility, and $200 for lunch or dinner for an entire hospital department.

Amor Healing Kitchen has announced its Seed to Soul home dining experience, a locally curated four-course meal customers can purchase for Mother’s Day. All proceeds go toward the kitchen’s mission to provide nutritious meals to those recovering from surgery and other medical treatments.

The Seed to Soul meal is $60 for one person, $120 for two and $200 for a family of four. It includes salad, succotash with fried red pea patties and assorted cakes. It also comes with local flowers from Roadside Blooms, a handmade Amor Healing Kitchen candle and a video guide on how to set the table.

Packages will be ready for pick up at the Counter Culture Training Center, at 85 1/2 Spring St., from noon to 3 p.m. May 9. The meal can be purchased online.

TalkOne Radio is offering free advertising to Lowcountry businesses, including a 10- to 20-minute on-air interview.

Businesses will also receive a free advertisement on the all-talk radio show’s website, including a logo and a link, for a week after the interview airs. The offer expires at the end of May.

The Carolina Youth Development Center has been given $55,000 through a Cummins Community Development grant. The funds will help the center provide additional programs for its family support center, located at the North Charleston campus.

It will benefit resources such as in-home visitations, individual and family therapy, caregiver support groups, and workshops that help families involved in the child welfare system.
