The tri-county COVID-19 Reponse Fund has received more than $171,000 in donations in the past five days. The total includes a $50,000 match from Trident United Way.
The funds will support those in the tri-county area experiencing loss of work or other financial hardships, deploying emergency networks of agencies and supporting nonprofit partners.
Donations came from 44 individual donors, as well as corporate partners.
Charleston-based Call Experts has partnered with CommAlert and Punchcard Systems, as well as contact centers across the U.S. and Canada, to quickly make critical services and tools available to businesses in response to the new coronavirus pandemic.
The partnership, called Covid Continuity, is providing information sharing and a direct line to the team’s emergency planning team for business owners. The companies have also curated an online resource library.
