A Closer Look

2018 Top achievements:

  • Over 6,000 neighbors came through our doors this year, making this the busiest year in the history of Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach
  • 12,157 dental procedures performed for 1,383 dental patients with a value of $1,370,233
  • 16,809 meals filled stomachs with hot lunches at the Neighborhood House Soup Kitchen
  • 29 students in our “Yes, I Can!” after-school program improved their math and reading skills
  • 36 individuals received help with their job search and resume writing skills through our emPOWER program
  • 18 healthy babies born to Wellness Center Mothers
  • 141 students enrolled in our ESL program, making it the largest ESL program in Charleston County
  • 599 goals achieved by clients at both locations through our case management services

2019 Goals:

  • Develop and enhance partnerships to increase organizational capacity
  • Work closely with the communities we serve to assess current programs and ensure we are meeting community needs
  • Increase awareness of our mission and services throughout the community
  • Expand emPOWER Workforce Development Program to include youth programming

  • We have a variety of opportunities for corporate partners to get involved.
