Twelve area employers, including Fruit of the Loom, Comfort Keepers and W International, will be at SC Works Trident’s open-air job fair on Nov. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will be held at the organization’s main location at 1930 Hanahan Road in North Charleston.

“We want to provide another opportunity to facilitate convenient and safe connections between job-seekers and employers,” Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments Workforce Development Director Sharon Goss said. “Nearly 5% of individuals in the Lowcountry remain unemployed or underemployed as of Sept. 30, so we are aiming to create new paths for them to find their next steps to unemployment.”

More than 300 job-seekers attended a similar event with SC Works Trident in September.

Attendees should pre-register for the event and are encouraged to bring extra copies of their resume to leave with employers.

For anyone needing resume assistance, SC Works Trident will help those interested in the event. Book an appointment with a career coach at scworkstrident.org/scheduler.
