Alorica expanding in Charleston County

Customer relationship management company Alorica plans to expand its Charleston County operations with a $1.2 million investment, according to the S.C. Department of Commerce.

Alorica is headquartered in Irvine, Calif., and serves a variety of companies in the communications, retail, health care, financial services, hospitality, technology and public sectors.

The company’s expansion of its location at 4275 Bridge View Drive in North Charleston will increase Alorica’s capacity in North America to meet growing demand, according to a news release. The expansion is expected to create more than 300 new jobs and be completed by the end of the year.

“We’re thrilled to be doing more for the community we’ve called home for 15 years,” Alorica North Charleston Site Director Becky Crocco said in the release. “From creating more jobs to finding more ways to serve the people of North Charleston, we look forward to continuing to fulfill our vision of making lives better one interaction at a time.”

Commerce Secretary Bobby Hitt said Alorica’s expansion “signals yet another vote of confidence … for the local workforce and strong business environment in South Carolina.”
