Annual income across the tri-county area ranges from a high of about $144,000 on Kiawah Island to a low of $26,000 in St. Stephen. An analysis by Deloitte using data from the Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics shows a 138.3% difference between those communities, with a lot in between.

The data here show the income, workforce and poverty rate for every incorporated municipality in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties, giving a more granular view of the workforce driving the economy and the workers driving on our roads to reach places that are more affordable and are where the work can be found.
