 src=The March of Dimes will hold its Charleston Signature Chefs Auction Virtual Gala at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 19. Funds will go toward scientific research and educational programs.

Participants will be able to bid on silent and live auctions, enter a raffle and interact with chefs from restaurants in the area.


 src=North Charleston’s Local Choice Spirits was recognized with a double gold award for its Boone’s Bourbon at the 2020 New York International Spirits Competition, ranking in the top six bourbons worldwide.

Local Choice Spirits won several other awards, including Producer of The Year, a silver award for its Striped Pig Watermelon Vodka and bronze awards for its Doppio Espresso Vodka and Myrtle Beach Banana Nut Rum.


 src=Hamby Catering is offering a new Back to School Family Meals menu with casseroles, sides, desserts and drinks. Each meal option feeds four people for $55.

A selection of wines put together by Patrick Emerson of Curated Selections is also available.

Orders must be placed at least 24 hours in advance and can be picked up at The Market in West Ashley, 925 St. Andrews Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, or at the Mobile Market pop-up shop in Mount Pleasant, at 215 Coleman Blvd., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.


Fleet Landing is offering a 3 for $30 menu, including items such as shrimp and grits, crispy flounder and stuffed hush puppies, with wine pairings for an additional cost. The menu will be available at dinner through Sunday.
