Patriots Point discounts admission for 1st responders, military

All first responders and military personnel will now receive discounted admission to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in Mount Pleasant.
At a meeting Friday morning, the Patriots Point Development Authority Board approved a $21 ticket rate for first responders and military. The normal rate for adults is $24.
Ray E. Chandler, chairman of the Patriots Point Development Authority Board, said the discount will take effect immediately.
“We’re ratifying the fact that we have extended that (the discount) because we wanted first responders, those who had been helping with the hurricane assistance, etc., to be recognized for that,” Chandler said.
General admission at the museum includes access to all exhibits.
