On the Menu provides the latest news from the Charleston area’s culinary community, including new restaurants, new menu items and upcoming events, as well as details about local chefs. ATTENTION: Submissions should now be made using our online form.

82 Queen is scheduled to host a four-course Whiskey Dinner with pork-centric dishes at 6:30 p.m. June 20. The first course includes crispy pig ear salad followed by a second course dish of braised pigs cheek with stone ground grits, smoked tomato gravy, roasted okra and farmers cheese. The third course is maple-glazed pork belly and the dessert course is pork skin churros with cinnamon sugar, salted caramel and a bourbon chocolate sauce.

Tickets are $75 per person. The ticket price does not include tax or gratuity. A portion of the sales from the dinner will go to Catch Up on Lunch, a recently launched fundraising effort to help eliminate student lunch debt.
