SOL Southwest Kitchen & Tequila Bar has brought back its Tequila Thursdays, a weekly happy hour event at its Mount Pleasant, Summerville and downtown Charleston locations. The weekly series is scheduled for 4 p.m. each Thursday and will include a different premium, 100% blue agave tequila.

About 4,100 people attended the 2019 Charleston Beer Fest on May 18 at Riverfront Park in North Charleston. Festivalgoers consumed 2,356 gallons of beer, according to a news release.

All proceeds from the Charleston Beer Fest benefited Palmetto Community Care in its work providing HIV care and prevention education awareness across the tri-county area. This year’s festival raised more than $140,000 for the nonprofit organization.

In honor of National Doughnut Day, Hamby Catering is scheduled to serve hot mini doughnuts on Friday at The Market at Hamby at 925 St. Andrews Blvd. in West Ashley. The Market will offer traditional plain doughnuts and cinnamon-dusted doughnuts.

Guests can purchase two dozen doughnuts for $6. Orders can be placed in advance by calling 843-725-4035.
