On the Menu provides the latest news from the Charleston area’s culinary community, including new restaurants, new menu items and upcoming events, as well as details about local chefs. ATTENTION: Submissions should now be made using our online form.

Edmund’s Oast Exchange and certified sommelier Sarah O’Kelley are scheduled to offer another Somm School 2.0 class focused on the Burgundy region of France from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets are $30. Food and beverage industry employees receive a 50% discount by using the code sommfandb when checking out online.

Slow Food Charleston is set to host an oyster roasted curated by The Darling Oyster Bar from 6 to 9 p.m. March 21 at Cooper River Brewing. The chapter of Slow Food USA will set goals, talk dates and make plans for the year, as well as discuss opportunities for volunteering and involvement.

Tickets are $15 at the door. All proceeds benefit Slow Food Charleston.
