Old Village Post House Inn sold to investors

The Old Village Post House Inn, a restaurant and six-room inn located in Mount Pleasant’s Old Village, has been sold by Hall Management Group to a group of local investors.

The Old Village Post House was built in 1896 as a private residence and retail store and was reconfigured in 1984 as a restaurant on the bottom floor and six inn rooms on the second floor. (Photo/Provided)The property was one of four restaurants Hall Management Group purchased from Maverick Southern Kitchens in 2015, along with High Cotton and Slightly North of Broad in downtown Charleston and High Cotton in Greenville, which was rebranded as Halls Chophouse Greenville in 2016.

The new owners of Old Village Post House are a group of local investors known as OVPHI Partners LLC. Edward Robinson of The Beach Co. represented the seller, and the sale price was not disclosed.

“I’m disappointed and deeply regret that we are selling this wonderful inn, but lodging properties no longer fit our rapidly expanding core brand business,” Bill Hall Sr., CEO of Hall Management Group, said in a news release.

The Old Village Post House was built in 1896 as a private residence and retail store. It was reconfigured in 1984 as a restaurant on the bottom floor and six inn rooms on the second floor. Hall Management Group renovated the infrastructure, dining rooms, bar and kitchen in 2015.

Hall said that most of the staff from Old Village Post House Inn have been reassigned to other positions in Hall Management Group.
