1Kept Charleston and S.C. Aquarium are scheduled to host a Good Catch Dinner from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 23 at 68 Wentworth St. The event includes sustainable seafood stations, including raw oysters shucked to order, smoked mussels, ceviche and a selection of passed foods, paired with Wicked Weed craft beers and sparkling wine.

Tickets are $49.56; admission with drinks is $54.84.


Slow Food Charleston is seeking applicants for multiple positions on its board of directors. Meetings are monthly; board members are expected to attend the majority of the meetings and to support events and programming initiatives.

The board is seeking an event director, bookkeeper/administration and chef coordinator.

The event director will plan, design and produce events for Slow Food Charleston. Responsibilities include creation of committees and conducting of pre- and post-event evaluations and reporting on outcomes.

The bookkeeper-administrator will perform financial and administrative duties such as recordkeeping, account management and close partnership with the director on operations. Experience working in nonprofits is preferred.

The chef coordinator will manage relationships and act as point person for events. This person will grow a list of contacts in the restaurant community and work with restaurants and their staff in educational training.
