The classroom doesn’t set itself up

Listen to this articleAs many people enjoyed the waning days of summer, teachers were already back in the classroom setting up for incoming young scholars.
Not every teacher had time to spare for the Business Journal (students show up on the first day whether or not the classroom is ready), but teachers from Oakland Elementary School in Charleston County School District and William M. Reeves Jr. Elementary School in Dorchester School District Two were able to give us a look at the work that goes into making that first day of school special.
It might look effortless to parents and students, but every poster, every schedule, every desk and every class pet has been precisely placed to make math, English, science or physical education classes as conducive to learning as possible.
