M.C. Dean Inc. invests $7.3M to expand North Charleston operations

A cyber-physical solutions and engineering company that has had a presence in South Carolina for more than 25 years is expanding its operations in Charleston County with a $7.3 million investment that will create 126 new jobs.

M.C. Dean, Inc., located on Remount Road, designs, builds, operates and maintains cyber-physical solutions for facilities, secure environments, complex infrastructure and global enterprises, the company said.

The company will be looking for an array of employees, including engineers, project managers and technicians.

The multi-million dollar investment will go toward development of a new 25,000 square-foot facility to serve the company’s defense, technology, manufacturing and health care customers.

The facility is anticipated to be completed by spring 2022 and also will offer office space, engineering, simulation, testing labs and warehousing with a mix of indoor and outdoor workspaces and recreation areas for staff.
