Life Cycle Engineering awarded $50M Navy contract

Charleston-based information technology and engineering consulting firm Life Cycle Engineering has been awarded a five-year, $50 million contract by the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center.

Under the contract, Life Cycle Engineering will provide the Navy with technical planning and engineering services to support projects at the maintenance center’s planning and engineering department in the Japanese cities of Yokosuka and Sasebo, according to a news release.

Life Cycle Engineering has provided similar services to the Navy for the past 10 years, according to Russell Kuntz, acting vice president of the company’s federal solutions group.

“This contract award validates the strength of our capabilities and continued partnership with SRF-JRMC and the U.S. Navy,” Kuntz said in the release.

The Naval Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center is the primary naval ship repair facility in the region and provides ship repair, modernization and support services to ships in the Navy’s 7th Fleet.
