The Beach Co. has completed construction on a mixed-use building in Mount Pleasant that is the new home of Beach Residential.

Coleman Central, at 736 Coleman Blvd., is a three-story, 20,000-square-foot retail and office space. It was built on a vacant lot that once housed a motel. The building was designed by E.E. Fava Architects and built by Mashburn Construction.

The new, mixed-use building at 736 Coleman Blvd. is a three-story, 20,000-square-foot retail and office space, with executive office space on the second and third floors. (Photo/Provided)Beach Residential, the residential sales division of The Beach Co., occupies approximately 2,000 square feet of the second floor, including seven offices, a conference room, co-working space and a kitchenette. The second and third floors house executive office space.

The exterior of Coleman Central includes nearly 30% of glass storefront or curtain wall systems, Mashburn said in the release. The building uses structural steel and metal stud framing, with stucco and tongue-and-groove paneling made of plank and metal.

The building includes 20 parking spaces with concrete sidewalks and custom planter boxes.

Tim Cotter, development manager for The Beach Co., said in a news release, “We are very proud of Coleman Central and feel that it is a handsome addition to Mount Pleasant. Mashburn Construction’s hard work and creativity helped us overcome several challenges and deliver a property that the entire project team is pleased to stand behind.”
