Electrical services firm opens downtown Charleston office

Feyen Zylstra, a Michigan-based electrical contractor, has opened a new office in downtown Charleston.

The office is a satellite to the company’s existing Lowcountry location in the Atlas Commerce Center at 8351 Palmetto Commerce Parkway in Ladson. Feyen Zylstra has five other locations across the country: its headquarters in Grand Rapids, three other locations in Michigan and an office in Nashville, Tenn.

Feyen Zylstra’s new downtown Charleston space is a 1,200-square-foot office at 3 Lockwood Drive by the Charleston City Marina, near existing clients such as the Medical University of South Carolina and the College of Charleston, according to a news release.

The firm also has partnerships with Boeing and Volvo Cars. The release said Feyen Zylstra also works with The Jasper and WestEdge, two mixed-use developments that are under construction on the peninsula, as well as the retirement community Bishop Gadsden.

“The new location allows us to continue giving our customers the exceptional service and experience they get and expect from FZ, especially now in the booming Charleston market,” says Randy Lail, vice present of sales and operations, in the release.
