Lowcountry Local First launches podcast

Independent business advocacy group Lowcountry Local First has launched a podcast, focusing on in-depth conversations with local businesses in the Charleston area. 

The first episode of Small Talks, Big Ideas With Steve, aired late last month starting off with a conversation with Zach Giglio, the co-founder of Giglio Communications and Marketing. 

Giglio talked about how he and Emma, his wife and co-founder, decided to bring their company to the Charleston market. 

Giglio told Community Partnership Manager Steve Fletcher, who hosts the podcast, how they were impressed with the existing support that small businesses enjoy through Lowcountry Local First, the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and other individuals and organizations. 

Giglio said that support system and the strong livability of the Charleston area led Giglio Communications and Marketing to open the company in Charleston. He said that Charleston continues to be a draw for talent and for clients. He also said that attracting talent outside of the region is a lot easier when they’re pitching living in Charleston compared to other areas of the country.
