Webinar walks small, minority businesses through grant application

A webinar will be held today from 3-4 p.m. for minority and small business owners looking for coronavirus relief funding.

The S.C. Department of Administration will be conducting a webinar to provide guidance and answer questions on the application process for the Minority and Small Business Relief Grant Program.

Eligible businesses must have 25 or fewer employees, be physically located in South Carolina and have been in operation since Sept. 13, 2019, until present. Businesses also must be able to prove they have suffered financially or had an operational impact from COVID-19.

Grant awards will range from $2,500 to $25,000. Applications must be submitted by Nov. 1.

Topics at the webinar will include:

  • Program background
  • Eligibility requirements
  • Required documentation
  • Grant program timeline
  • Overview of evaluation process
  • Calculation worksheet walk-through
  • Application portal walk-through
  • Available resources
  • Question/answer session

Businesses must register if interested in attending. Upon registering, you will receive a calendar invite with the link to join the webinar.

There is a capacity of 3,000 participants and for those unable to join, a recording will be made available at the accelerate SC website.
