S.C. Federal Credit Union has officially acquired Spartan Federal Credit Union after a member-approved merger in January.

Spartan Federal will remain at its current location at 930 Charisma Drive in Spartanburg, though the facility has been converted to an S.C. Federal financial center.

Spartan Federal accounts were converted to S.C. Federal accounts earlier this month, and customers are now able to use S.C. Federal services, such as fee-free mobile banking, toll-free contact center services and access to 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs through the Allpoint Network, according to a news release.

“We are thrilled to welcome Spartan Federal Credit Union members to the South Carolina Federal family,” said Scott Woods, president and CEO of S.C. Federal, in the release. “We are committed to investing in the communities we serve and look forward to doing more together in the Spartanburg area.”

S.C. Federal is based in North Charleston, with 21 locations across the state.
