The new $25 million, 28-600 square-foot facility, located at 425 Sigma Drive, will span more than 13 acres in the Nexton community. The company said clients will be able to customize or up-fit their vans at the location.

“Summerville will have something that they’ve never had before,” Tommy Baker, president of Baker Motor Co., said. “It’s the first Sprinter dealership in America.”

Ninety-five percent of the employees working at the new Summerville facility will be current team members who have been promoted, the company said.

“That’s the exciting thing about our little company… [the employees] are not good, they’re the best. And on day one, they’ll know what to do and the clients will know it’s the Baker way,” he said.

The new campus is designed to include a car wash, an eight-car showroom, consultation desks, conference rooms and lounges. It also will house a more than 1,500 square-foot facility for customers looking to purchase from The Baker Collection — an assortment of more than 150 previously owned luxury vehicles.

In addition to selling Sprinter Vans, the facility will service cars from the Baker Motor Co. line. It also will offer recreational perks for customers while they wait for their car to be serviced, including biking and hiking trails, a play area for kids, and a fishing pond.
