Flying Biscuit Café West Ashley is the second Charleston area location for the all-day breakfast chain, which has been serving its biscuits and Southern-inspired meals throughout the Southeast for more than 30 years, a news release stated.

The new West Ashley Flying Biscuit Café, 2245 Ashley Crossing Drive, Unit 16, will also be the second franchise location for owner Summer Lee, who opened the concept in Greenville in 2019, according to the release.

“As the birthplace of Charleston, West Ashley is home to some of the city’s best neighborhoods and is full of history and beauty, making it the perfect destination for the Flying Biscuit Café,” said Lee in the release. “I’ve been wanting to open in West Ashley for several years, and I believe our Greenville location, with all its growth, newfound tourism and nearby attractions, has prepared me well for the next level here in Charleston.”

Lee has seen success in Greenville, establishing Flying Biscuit as a popular dining staple as well as a leading philanthropic partner within the community, the release stated. Similar to her efforts in Greenville, Lee is already working to develop ties to the West Ashley neighborhood with plans to give back to schools and other local non-profits and charities, while also sponsoring area sporting events and organizations, the release stated..

To celebrate the opening, Flying Biscuit West Ashley will offer $1 and $5 daily grand opening specials throughout the week of January 29th, 2024. Highlights will include Friday’s special of $5 Shrimp & Grits and $5 Burgers and Sandwiches.

Flying Biscuit Café opened its first location in Candler Park, Atlanta, in 1993 and has expanded to 33 franchise locations across the Southeast with several more in the pipeline for openings throughout 2024, the release stated.
