The event, set for May 8 at the Charleston Area Convention Center, will kick-off with the Charleston RiverDogs and their mascot, Charlie. This coffee mixer will include a discussion with RiverDogs executives about using marketing to amplify your business and how your company or organization can engage with the community to create a winning team.

The keynote event is a luncheon with the Lowcountry’s newest mayors — Reggie Burgess of North Charleston, William Cogswell of Charleston and Russ Touchberry of Summerville — and regional economic development leaders, including Steve Dykes, executive director, Charleston County Economic Development, and Jason Brown, director of stakeholder relations, Charleston Regional Development Alliance. The luncheon will include a panel discussion followed by a Q&A.

Rounding out the content sessions is an HR rapid-fire roundtable. In this fast-paced, interactive session a roundtable of Lowcountry staffing and human resources experts will offer best practices and strategies to solve the most pressing issues — return to office, technology (AI in particular), employee retention, a remote vs. hybrid workplace, and more — affecting your business. Panelists include Christina Lock, founder and CEO of Catch Talent, and Laura Dalziel, regional manager of Malone Workforce Solutions.

“This content lineup exemplifies what the Charleston Regional Business Journal is about — providing the thought leadership and knowledge base to help people grow their businesses and organizations,” said Jason Thomas, executive editor, SC Biz News. “Each session will offer insight on trends affecting small businesses, giving decision-makers the tools and fresh ideas they need to help their businesses flourish.”
