Local Veteran Opens Sign Business

CHARLESTON, SC – FASTSIGNS® of Charleston, a locally owned and operated sign and graphics provider, is now under the direction of franchisee and Navy Veteran, Jim Gray. Now owner of the original FASTSIGNS location that opened in Charleston, Jim is making it his aim to live up to the historic reputation.

Jim is a jack-of-all-trades with over 30 years working in the sign and graphics business. He was once a Production Manager at FASTSIGNS of Richmond, VA for 15 years. After that, he worked for a company that produced ADA and wayfinding signage where he was later promoted to Vice President of Operations. Two years later, he decided to purchase his own FASTSIGNS location.

The team at FASTSIGNS of Charleston also includes Brandi Oliver, who will be doing graphic design, printing and assisting with inside sales. Perry Stafford will be focused on outside sales and installation work, and Kay (SAM) Threatt will be solely focused on Outside Sales. As a Veteran himself, Jim shared that they are always looking for fellow Vets to come work with their team.

“Charleston is an amazing place with great food, and kind people who wave when you drive by. I could not have picked a better place to buy an existing FASTSIGNS center,” said Jim Gray. “I believe in customer service and will make the sign buying process easy for my customers. We are here to take the headaches out of their sign-buying experience and to service them in the future.”

FASTSIGNS of Charleston is open from Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
